March Madness

March was a fun month. Besides the normal playing, silliness, and love, there was also Tim's birthday and Baby Chen #3's gender reveal! How about we dive right in since I am trying to get caught us as much as I can before lil' Lily gets here.

At just 25 months, Levi climbed out of his crib for the first time. He learned from watching big brother climb in and out when they were playing in there. Caleb NEVER tried to climb out of his crib. This one likes to challenge me haha. So, we had to take down the side and make it into a toddler bed.

This was his first night in the "toddler bed". I was worried he'd fall out so I put a bunch of blankets down, but he never did.

Levi kept escaping his room, so we attempted to put him in Caleb's old crib which is a bit harder to get out of, and this is a picture of them sleeping in the same room for the first time. BUT, he was able to climb out that one too HA, so we moved him back to him room and the toddler bed.

Since it was nice out, one Friday I took the boys out for lunch at Panera, to walk around, and to play with the trains at Barnes & Noble at the outdoor mall. They were super good boys, and we had a lot of fun. :)

My really good friend Lacey came to visit us and brought her hubby (whom we hadn't met yet) and her little girl (which we haven't seen in forever!). This is the only picture I got of them because it was a super short visit, and I was trying to spend time with them more than taking pictures. Here Levi let Mrs. Lacey snuggle his blankie...which is a big deal for this boy. :)

One day I wasn't feeling well and I was laying on the couch, so Caleb (being the sweet and caring boy that he is) found a clean cup in the dishwasher, filled it with water from the fridge, and gave it to me so that I "won't be thirsty". The boys may have gotten water everywhere, but the thought was so sweet I didn't care one bit.

On March 12th, I threw Tim a little birthday party in our home with the added bonus of revealing baby #3's gender. I actually found out at the anatomy scan a couple of days before so that I could surprise everyone. I did so good. I didn't let it slip to Tim even though he tried to trick me into telling him...even though he really didn't want to know. He's so silly. Tim isn't big on being the center of attention, so we just invited a few people. Tim's brother Joe even got to make it here from California! It was a really great time, and Tim was super surprised that baby is a girl. I'd like to think it was a great early birthday present for him. :)

We were very excited to have Kyle and Joy join us for our fun day. They were visiting from out of town and just so happened to be here the weekend of the party!

Caleb had a party at school, and they let Levi join in to hunt eggs. All the kids had such a good time :) It was both kids first time to ever hunt eggs. I told them it is like a treasure hunt, and they liked that ;)

One day we also went to the new trampoline place with our friends Terry and Kaili and had the best time!

I've been pregnant since this place opened, so I haven't been able to try any of the obstacles yet but it looks super hard. Kaili had no trouble walking across it though. She has major skills. :)

Tim was incredible at getting across with his upper body strength. My muscle man :)

Now she's just showing off LOL! :) Let's go back, guys, after I get this baby out!

After many months of not being able to climb up these stairs at this particular Chick-fil-a, Levi figured out how to use his feet and his strength to get up by himself! He was so so proud of himself :)

Sayings with Caleb:

- "If you're bad, God will reach down from the sky and give you a spanking." (I have no idea where he got this from haha)

- Called us "my mom", "my dad", "my brother" when he talked to us.

- "Good job Boom Booms! Congratulations!" (Boom Booms is Tim's nickname for Levi, and Caleb started calling Levi that too. Plus he was being very encouraging. :) )

- "It's calm outside. It's not windy."

- Caleb repeated something exactly as I said it to him, and then he laughed and said "I'm talking to myself! haha!"

- C: "Mommy, can we go to the game place (Chuck-e-cheese)? (he saw it when we drove by it.)
   J: "Well, I'm really tired, Caleb. Not right now.
  C: "Well, you can stay in the car and put money in our pockets and we can go play." (Caleb trying to problem solve haha)

- "Pop is a dad. That means he can play games like 'Down Set Hut' and play with us! (Down Set Hut is a football type game Tim plays with the boys. Apparently, I don't rough house enough haha.)

- C: "My tummy is growing."
   J: "Why?"
   C: "Because I've eaten too much junk." HA!

- "Big boys sit at the table and eat all their yum yums. I sit at the table, and Levi eats all his yum yums so we are both big boys!" (uh huh haha)
- "I think you're kidding, Mom. I didn't see it. I look left and right and didn't see it. I'm sorry, Mom." (About an airplane I saw and told the boys about.)

- C: "Emma might love me."
   L: "Audrey might love me." (Talking about their good girl friends. So sweet :))

Sayings with Levi:

- Levi would point at pictures of Koalas and say "at Taiwan!" because he remembered seeing them when we went to the Taipei Zoo.

- "Mama, help! Ugh! TOO STRONG!" (When needing help opening something)

- J: "Are you cooking?"

  L: "I pretend." :)

- "Hannah here. She likes me. Gonna bite me! AHHHH!" (After seeing a picture of his friend Hannah on our refrigerator. When she visited us in at the beginning of January, she bit Levi on his hand, and he somehow remembered that 2 months later! haha. Don't worry. Levi was just fine, and we still love Hannah very much :))

Random fact: Levi ate his whole first drumstick in March.
