February 2016

As I'm trying to catch up on this blog and hoping to record as many memories as I possibly can for future enjoyment, I'm also trying to desperately get it done which means I'm not spending as much time or energy on each post. This is our February post! I worked really hard on the title..ok not really. I need to use my brain cells for other things at this point in time.

The day after we got home from Taiwan and I was starting to feel better the boys started having symptoms of the same stomach bug I had. Let me just tell you... recouping from a really terrible stomach bug, jet lag, and first trimester pregnancy symptoms all rolled into one does NOT make it easy to care for two sick boys throwing up all night. :( Thankfully, that specific bug hit hard and was over fast. It did take several days after it to not be weak anymore but the nasty symptoms were gone within 12-24 hours or maybe it was the jet lag making us so weak and groggy...to be honest I have no idea. I'm just glad that experience is over. Ha. We did try to make the best of things though, and I took the boys out for frozen yogurt on Free frozen yogurt day at our favorite fro-yo place. We sat outside and kept to ourselves to make sure we didn't spread our germs. Poor boys weren't feeling so well so they didn't even eat much, but they did enjoy a little yogurt and getting out of the house.

The next day it rained like crazy. It was a monsoon outside! It made me so happy that the boys felt good enough to go outside and jump in the massive puddles that had formed in our backyard. The next day was even better! The puddles had disappeared, and they wanted to play on the trampoline. I love to see them play and smile together.

Over the next few days we got back to normal and able to get out of the house and get back into our normal routine. We had a good mixture of fun playing at home and getting out and doing things. We definitely made up for when we were sick and feeling awful.

Making friends at the Children's Museum

Riding bikes in the house is so fun!

Caleb made a cute hat with a dinosaur tail at school that said "Caleb-a-saur" :)

Rolling down the hill...or trying to in Levi's situation...at the park

Caleb got to make his own ice cream at Chick-fil-a. That was pretty sweet of the lady to let him do that.

Yummy treats at Caleb's Valentine's party at school.

We picked a lot of dandelions to blow..

and one day our friend Adam and his mom stopped at our house to join us!

Pulling these two in the wagon was not that easy haha. I need more muscles.

Sweet boys

We all went to the Children's Museum to play and get free pancakes one Saturday.

Caleb got a lesson on how breathing works in the body.

Then these super cuties put on huge hats and danced around the music room.

An updated picture of the bump. I was around 14 weeks here.

For Valentine's Day we tried out a BBQ place we had never been to. It was SO good. Even the kids liked it. :)

YUMMMM

This little one loves to try and sweep.

Reading books with Daddy *so sweet*

We went out for Jason's Deli one night for dinner, and I stole some cute selfies with Levi.

These two can be so snuggly and sweet sometimes.

I like Levi snuggles too :)

Caleb always wants to hold my hand while he falls asleep at night. This kid knows how to make my heart smile.

Levi loves messing with...I mean playing the guitar.

Even laying with the guitar haha

On the 19th we went to play at High Heaven. It's a really cool trampoline place. The boys loved it.

I'm telling you this kid loves to sweep...and he is actually pretty good at it!

It got warm enough to take our bikes for a spin outside.

These cutie pies sliding down the slide together at the meeting. *my heart!*

Being silly with Emma at the meeting

Climbing trees with Adam

We had a lot of fun watching our friend Anastasia play soccer! Caleb has been asking to play, so we also  wanted him to see what it was like and if he really wanted to do it.

He and the guys starting kicking a ball around. He definitely can't wait to play this Fall!

Trying to steal the ball from Anastasia

On February 20th we had the honor of being able to attend Tim's coworker and our friends Lindsey and Chris's wedding. What was even more fun is a friend of ours watched the boys so we could go without the kids! It was a beautiful wedding. The food was great, and we had a blast dancing before we had to head back to our kiddos.

Tim was so cute dancing with one of his co-worker's sons. It was the best. :)

That kid can dance!
My niece had a cheerleading competition here at the end of the month, so we got a chance to see my family and spend some time with them. The girls did an awesome job and got 1st place in their division. It always makes me teary eyed to see how big our Ry is getting and how incredible she is because of all her hard work. So proud of her.

Levi having sweet moments with Nana

We went our for lunch at Jason's Deli before they headed back home. I had to get a group picture first (minus Tim our picture taker) :)

Sayings with Caleb:

- C: When I grow up, I want to be a fireman and then a cowboy. This is a picture of me with a rope!
Me: (looks at picture he drew) oh! A cowboy?? Cool! I see the rope!!

- I told Caleb that Uncle Joe was coming to visit soon. His response: "I miss Joe so much! He's a man." Haha.
- At his school Valentine's Day party, Caleb told me "Happy Valentine's Day, Mom!", and all the adults said "Awwww."
- "I'm gonna save a sucker for Dad because I love him."
- We had several days of scary weather in Feb. One of those scary days while we were hiding in the bathroom and I was praying because I was really scared, Caleb began to pray out loud for God to keep us safe from the storms and the tornados.
- One day after school Caleb told me all about the girls that like him at school and how they always want to play with him. Haha.

Mom, I picked these flowers for you so we can get married.
😍💖

- Caleb told my friend Rebecca that he wanted 4 babies in my tummy!
- "Levi has little muscles, I have short muscles, and Daddy has big muscles!"

Sayings with Levi:

- L: Where's KK?
Me: At school (we just dropped him off)
L: I want him to hold me.

- "Mommy, gentle" (while I changed his diaper)

Little facts and moments in February:
- Caleb was 41 inches.
- Levi peed in the potty a little bit!
- Levi began snuggling more with Caleb.
- Levi had his 2 year old check-up. He was 34 inches long (50%), 23 pounds 13 ozs (8%), and his head was 48cm (40%).
- Levi realized he loves pizza and pickles!
- I asked Tim to get me my brown pillow. I was talking about my body pillow, but sweet Levi ran and got me the small brown living room pillow. He was trying so hard to help. :)
