January Days 2016

Since it's already the end of July, January feels like ages ago. Of course, it was 6 months ago, so I guess it was a really long time ago! Haha! I'm still determined to catch up on this blog, but I'm doubting I'll catch up before baby Lily makes her debut. I'll just do my best and catch up when I can.

January was a huge month for us! Levi turned TWO, and we went to Taiwan! You can read all about our Taiwan trip in 2 parts: here and here. It was Levi's very first time to go and even my mom and step-dad went with us! It was so fun to take them with us, but between the crazy jet lag and 1st trimester woes....it was a little bit of a challenging trip. I'm hoping so much they will go with us again one day and next time for 2 or 3 weeks. We definitely needed more time.

We didn't have a party for Levi's birthday this time since we were in Taiwan during his birthday, I was having some serious morning sickness, and there was just way too much going on with the trip and the pregnancy to plan anything. We did have a really sweet time as a family enjoying yummy Taiwan birthday cake with both sets of grandparents.

Now, let's start from the beginning of the month.

On the very first day of the month, our good friends Mallory, Justin, and Hannah came to visit us while they were in town :)

Hannah and Levi are only a few days apart in age.

They had so much fun!

Especially Hannah and Caleb. C is so good with the little ones.

Mal and I and our first preggo picture together this pregnancy. *love*

We spent quite a bit of time indoors playing and snuggling since it was cold in January. Tim got me a new camera for my birthday/anniversary because I've always wanted a really nice camera for trips and special moments with our family like birthdays, births, etc. Some of these pictures are Tim and I trying to figure out how the camera works haha.

Levi loves to pretend to cook.

Riding bikes with our friend Adam inside :)

There were a few days that it warmed up some and it was nice enough to spend time outside, so we took advantage of it.

Picnic and park fun!

We met Tim for dinner one evening after work and then went for a walk around the outdoor mall to go see the beautiful fountain.

This is from a different night we went walking around the mall :)
Sayings with Caleb and Levi:

Caleb---
- "That's weird."
- "Mom, do you have a baby in your belly? When did you belly get so big?" (We hadn't told him about Lily yet, but he found out on January 7th when he asked me these questions haha.)
- "How can God see us inside our house?" (After telling him that God watches us and protects us while we sleep.)
- "Hey look! It's my friend, London! I like his hair. It's pretty." (When Caleb saw his friend London on the fridge one day.)
- Caleb wanted to know why he can't open a clementine a certain way. I told him he should ask God why He created it that way. So without skipping a beat he said, "Why can't I open this orange this way, God?" I just laughed while he kept waiting and looking up toward the sky for an answer.
- Caleb also asks "why" about EVERYTHING, keeps asking if things or people are stronger than God, and loves to call baby "Peanut".
Levi---
- "Don't fall down!"
- "It fell down!"
- "Oh Lord Jesus" (While I was sighing in the grocery store. He realized I needed some Jesus at that moment.) :)
- "I cook it."
- "peppermint" (To this day the kid absolutely LOVES peppermint candy and stresses me out every time he eats one.)
- Levi also started whining, complaining, hitting, and throwing things. Welcome to the 2 year old "terrific" phase. HA!

Levi was 33.5 inches and 24 pounds in January. To finish I'll include a picture of baby girl from our appt on 1/20 and how much my belly grew from 4 weeks pregnant to 12 weeks!

Lots of growth!
