I think based on my other posts that you can tell October was a very full month for us. If you missed them earlier, you can read about
Caleb's birthday parties,
our fun at the state fair, and our
pumpkin patch days in detail through the links provided (click to read!). It was a fun month filled with family activities and lots of events available for us to enjoy. It's always nice when there are special things to do that you normally can't do. It makes life fun and interesting to participate in these seasonal treats.
Of course there were also many normal and ordinary days where we didn't do anything too exciting. One of my favorite things about not exciting days is listening to the boys talk. They make me laugh and smile every day with things that come out of their mouths. Some things also make me feel so happy and thankful like the time Levi climbed onto the couch and crawled over to me and said "I wuv ewe" and gave me a kiss on my leg. There was also that time Caleb was afraid to get his nails cut and he said, "Mom, I don't like to have my nails cut, but if I'm Spiderman I won't be scared." Then he put on his Spiderman costume and was very brave.

| Tim also keeps me laughing haha! |
There were several other things Caleb said that were memorable in October:
- "I do (insert action here) because I love you."
- "My teacher said 'You don't touch your friends because you can get germs'."
- "We can't be mean to each other because we are family."
- "I'm a teacher! I taught him how to do it!"
- "Mom, can I watch tv now since I stopped being rude?" HAHAHA I guess he does listen!
- "Mom, here, feel my stomach. It's hard like a rock. It's because I ate my yum yums and went potty." (Tim tells the boys a list of things they can do to get big muscles and be very strong. Eating and going potty are 2 of those things. :))
- One day we were at the park and Caleb did not want to leave. He wouldn't come after he promised he would do one more thing and leave. When we got to the car he said, "I'm sorry I lied to you." I asked him how he lied, and he said "I told you I would do one more thing and I didn't." I was so proud of him for recognizing his mistake and apologizing for it.
Levi's new words and phrases in October were:
- Pumpkin, muscle, strong, Spiderman
- "Hun hao" (means "very good" in Chinese)
- "I help!" (Levi wanted to help with EVERYTHING)
- "Zoo and the water" (when he wanted to read his Noah's Ark book)
- "Book about Bible, Jesus" (when he wanted to read his Jesus Loves Me book)
- "I'm hungry."
- "Hold me, please!"
- "I want some."
- "Xie Xie" (means "thank you" in Chinese)
- "Shut the door."
- "Right there."
- "Noooooooo"
The boys also did a few new things in October that they had never done before. Caleb said the Pledge of Allegiance from memory and sounded out the letters b-a-t to read bat. He also prayed mommy to get a baby in her belly. He really wants another baby brother or sister...but specifically wants a sister haha. Caleb and Levi are a tag team duo. They sure can worry me like when Caleb started helping Levi get into his crib by getting in the crib first and pulling Levi into the crib from the arm of the rocking chair next to the bed. I was so worried he was going to try to get him OUT of the crib too, and all I could imagine is blood and something broken. Thankfully, they never tried. :)

| The first time I found them in the crib without my help. Freaked me out! |
There are also some really sweet moments between those two. One day when I was in the shower, Levi started crying, but I couldn't get to him yet. So, Caleb went into his room, climbed into his crib, and tried to comfort him until I could go get him. So sweet! Caleb and Levi got along really well this month. It was a great month for brotherly love. If only they could be that way every month. Hehe!
Levi had a few new things happen in October too! He started jumping with both feet, could say his numbers 1-10 and most of the Alphabet song, could finally crawl the "normal way", climbed through the digestion playground at the Children's Museum for the first time, and got his upper left eye tooth and bottom left lateral incisor. He also learned to put his little finger up to his mouth and say "Shhhh!" It's so cute!

We also had some good times with our family when we went up to Northern MS at the end of the month. We saw my cousin and her kids whom we hadn't seen in a while. My Aunt and Uncle who live in Indiana also drove all the way down to see us. I was sad it was such a busy and short trip.
