Levi Turns 2 Months Old!

On March 24, our sweet Levi bug turned 2 months old. We were so blessed and thankful to have Tim's mom in our home for Levi's first month of life. She was so much help and an encouragement to me. She left on February 25th, one day after Levi turned 1 month old. I'm really glad she got to spend the first month of his life with us!

Levi's second month was really fun. He began sleeping for longer periods at night and letting us get some sleep. He was also awake a lot more during the day so we could enjoy him!

Feb 24th was the first night he slept for 4 hours straight. I felt like a new woman!

Feb 25th he stayed awake for 3 hours in the morning. Probably because he slept so well at night. I loved talking to him and looking him in the eyes.

I love these big beautiful eyes!

Feb 26th after I had just put both boys in their carseats and got in the car, Levi looked over at Caleb as if for the first time he realized Caleb rode next to him and he wasn't alone (this kid loves people) and smiled a big smile at bubba. :)

Not the exact moment, but you can imagine him looking at Caleb right?? :)

March 2nd was Levi's first morning meeting with the church!

March 3rd was first time he cooed at me! Talk about a huge smile and a heart happy momma! Cooing has to be one of the CUTEST things a newborn can do besides smile at you.

Of course I couldn't capture a picture of him cooing, but this was taken on March 3rd and it's adorable. :)

March 4th he sat by himself in the bouncy seat for 20 minutes AND tried to hit and grasp the bird and monkey hanging in front of him.

I was in the shower when it happened, so this is the best shot I could get. He was trying SO hard.

March 8th he started to suck his fingers and his whole fist sometimes haha. Sadly I didn't get a picture of this even though he did it all the time. I guess I was just enjoying him too much to stop and snap a photo.

March 9th Levi self soothed himself back to sleep with minimal crying = happy mom and dad

March 17th he had his 2nd well baby check-up. He wasn't quite 2 months old yet, but this is when they wanted to see him. His stats were: 11 lb 14 oz (75%), 22 1/4" long (50%), 38cm head (25%). Was as healthy as healthy could be! The doc was very pleased!

I don't have an exact date that this started, but during this month he also started to smile more and more and also play with toys that dangle. He became much more aware and awake. I had so much fun with him his month! We all did. Even big brother Caleb.
