Finally posting about Thanksgiving

In November, the Lord was so merciful to work out Tim's interviews in Mississippi right about Thanksgiving time. Since we were just in Mississippi in October, we couldn't afford to make another trip to MS for Thanksgiving. Also Tim only had the weekends off, and no one in their right mind would take a 1 year old on a 10 hour drive one way for a less than 3 day trip. The way the Lord worked it out, we were able to stay with my mom, get our plane tickets paid for, and got free tickets to the Egg Bowl (which neither one of us had been to before). It was definitely a gift from the Lord!!

Although Tim and I both grew up in MS, with my parents and grandma from Indiana and Tim's parents from Taiwan, we never celebrated Thanksgiving in a "southern" way. This was our first time to have a good ole' southern country celebration. We had such a GREAT time! What made it even more fun is my mom and step-dad, Bill, just got 3 horses and a mule the week before. I haven't been that close to a horse (and never a mule) since I was a child. It was also Caleb's first time to touch an animal so big. He was a little intimidated!

Everything was so wonderful: spending time with family, seeing some of our close friends, and eating my mom's DELICIOUS food all weekend! Nothing beats life's little blessings and God's unexpected blessings that make us smile.
